Wally the one-eyed cat and Butter from The Tiny Tabby get to know each other!
Wally was hit by a car in December 2011. He survived and was taken to the vet by a kind person. Wally lost his left eye, many of his teeth, and his jaw and nasal passages needed several surgeries. He needed to be retaught how to eat and how to socialize with other cats. He was getting to be too much for the vet to take care of, which is when my family adopted him.
He could eat by shoveling canned food up with his face into his mouth and was a very active jumper. He had one more surgery to close a hole in the roof of his mouth and to allow him to open his remaining eye completely. He has made a full recovery and is extremely friendly and lovable. People compare him to a dog because of how persistent he is for attention.
The Tiny Tabby makes plushes of cats with “imperfections”, like missing eyes, limbs and hearing loss. They have cat toys too! Part of the proceeds go to keeping elderly cats and cats with disabilities from being put down.

Oh Wally, you are so precious

this is for all the girls who are big girls that don’t have a skinnier middle than their butt and thighs

the ones whos bellies hang over their underwear

who’s waist size is thicker than their shoulders, butt, or anywhere else on their bodies

who’s boobs are bigger than their butts, they have curvy lumps on their backs, muffin tops, chicken legs, thick arms and smaller bodies, no boobs, no butt, all middle, whatever.

you’re loved too. don’t forget that.

To care about my body would be to suggest that I had a body worth caring about. Since my earliest years I felt nothing but shame for the useless casing of flesh I inhabit. It couldn’t bowl, bat or catch. It couldn’t dance. It couldn’t ski, dive or leap. When it walked into a bar or a club it didn’t attract lustful glares of desire or even faint glances of interest. It had nothing to recommend it beyond its function as a fuel cell for my brain and a dumping ground for toxins that might reward me with rushing highs and reasons to be cheerful.
